Step 1: Download and Install the QuickBooks Tool Hub
The QuickBooks Tool Hub is designed to fix frequent QuickBooks errors. For optimal performance, we recommend using it on Windows 10, 64-bit.
Close QuickBooks.
Download the latest version (1.4.0.0) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub and save it in an easy-to-find location (such as your Downloads folder or desktop).
If you’ve installed the Tool Hub before, check the version you have by selecting the Home tab. The version will be displayed at the bottom right, or you can select About to see the version.
Open the downloaded file (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
Follow the on-screen instructions to install the tool and agree to the terms.
Once installed, double-click the desktop icon to open the tool hub.
Step 2: Use the Tools in the QuickBooks Tool Hub
The Tool Hub provides access to several tools to resolve different issues. Each tab addresses specific problems:
Company File Issues Tab: Fix errors when opening company files or resolve missing/blank lists with tools like Quick Fix my File and QuickBooks File Doctor. For more help, use File Dr Help.
Network Issues Tab: Resolve network-related errors like H202. Use this tab when on your server computer.
Program Problems Tab: Address performance issues, program crashes, and errors like 6123. Start with Quick Fix my Program. This tab also helps with PDF and printing problems.
Installation Issues Tab: Fix issues with installing, uninstalling, or reinstalling QuickBooks Desktop. You can also resolve 3371 errors here.
Password Reset Tab: Reset your password if needed.
Help & Support Tab: Contact support, manage your Intuit account, or get help from an agent. You can also provide feedback on the tools.
Advanced Tools Tab: Access common Windows shortcuts for troubleshooting QuickBooks errors.
Note: If a tool isn’t installed, it will automatically download in the background, which may take 2-3 minutes. Be patient and avoid closing the installer to ensure the tool runs properly.
